Willow Creek Pet Center - Sandy, Salt Lake Utah Vets

Pet Boarding

Willow Creek Pet Center's boarding facility is accredited by both the American Animal Hospital Association and The Pet Care Services Association. We pride ourselves on our outstanding boarding staff. They do an exceptional job of caring for your pet while staying at Willow Creek Pet Center. They are quick to notice any problems. If any unusual behavior or sickness is noticed, your pet will be examined by one of our doctors for evaluation and treatment.

We Offer Almost All the Comforts of Home

When you leave your pet with us, you know it’s in good hands. We have separate dog and cat boarding facilities, with special features for each. For example, dogs have radiant heated floors, covered runs, and an enclosed courtyard. Cats have their own nice cozy place in the sun. We also offer "Special Care" play time with an attendant.

We Can Take Care of Your Pet’s Other Needs During Boarding

Services available include:

  • Vaccines
  • Grooming (by appointment only)
  • Administering medications
  • Surgeries
  • Nail trims
  • Dentals
  • Ear cleaning
  • Kennel baths

Splish, Splash, We’ll Give Them A Bath

Willow Creek Pet Center offers a complimentary bath to all boarding dogs after three nights stay. (Sorry, we are unable to offer this service to aggressive dogs).

We do our very best to keep your pet as clean as possible during his/her stay with us; however, potty accidents happen to even the best trained dogs. The change from the normal home routine and all the different sounds and smells of the boarding facility may cause even the best trained dog to have an occasional 'mistake'. Our attentive staff keeps all kennels cleaned and disinfected almost as soon as a pet goes potty.

Everyone Loves A Clean, Fresh Blank-ee

Blankets are offered for your pet if requested. Your pet will receive a clean fresh blanket at least twice a day. We ask that you do not bring dog beds or blankets from home. Many times they become soiled and we are unable to return them to you clean.

We Want Your Pet to Chow Down

Some pets refuse to eat while boarding. When this happens, we will offer your pet canned food in place of dry or even mixed in with the dry to encourage them to eat. With this in mind, a change in diet added with the stress of being away from home will sometimes cause diarrhea. We feed all boarding dogs Iams Low Residue. Boarding cats are fed Science Diet. If your pet eats a different product, please bring it with you when you check in.

Toys for your Pet

We allow your pet to have chew bones, but only those that are digestible. We do not want your pet eating a toy that could possibly cause internal problems.

Must Meet All Vaccinations and Parasite Test Requirements. No Exceptions.

All boarded pets are required to be current on the following vaccinations:

Canine: DHPP, 6-Month Bordetella (Canine Cough), Rabies and a negative fecal test (annually)

Feline: FVRCP, FELV, Rabies

One week prior to boarding your pet, we ask all clients to provide us with written proof of vaccinations from a licensed veterinarian. If current vaccines cannot be verified we will vaccinate your pet prior to boarding at Willow Creek Pet Center. Remember that vaccinations prevent disease!
