I was born in New Mexico and after several moves landed in Salt Lake City in 1989. I have always been a dog lover and in 1991 came to Willow Creek Pet Center with my first Australian Shepherd for puppy class. I then took lessons and began a career in competition obedience.
My dog Smartie works in therapy with ITA and brings great pleasure to people young and old. Along with puppy and beginning classes, I teach a therapy dog class. This class shows people if their dog has the necessary temperament and skills to try to certify for therapy work.
When I am not at Willow Creek Pet Center I spend my weekends on ski patrol at the Canyons Ski Resort.
