My name is Kris. I don’t even remember a time I haven’t loved dogs and I have been interested in dog training and behavior since grade school! I have worked for Willow Creek Pet Center for 15 years and during that time I have taken every dog training class imaginable. I am now able to take that knowledge and pass it on to others. I have been privileged to run the Puppy Socialization Class on Saturdays and have seen so many puppies turn into wonderful adult dogs. I am currently teaching the Puppy Kindergarten and Beginning Obedience Classes.
My fur family includes my 8 year old greyhound, my 16 year old black lab mix, my 12 year old shih tzu-heeler mix, “Penley” my 2 year old Boston Terrier as well as multiple cats. “Piper” the greyhound and I have competed in Rally Obedience and were recently certified as a therapy team. Penley and I have also competed and titled in Rally Obedience and are new competitors in Agiliy. All of my pets have been rescued or adopted. Adopting from a shelter or rescue is a wonderful way to add a new pet to your family.
I have lived in Salt Lake City all of my life and can’t imagine living anywhere else. I love the changing of the seasons and all of the diverse activities available. When I am not working, I prefer to spend my time with my three daughters and my grandson and of course anything that we can include our dogs in!
